Maison Lune Ltd ("Maison Lune", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and protect personal information when you visit maisonlune.co.nz, make a purchase, contact us or otherwise use our services.
We handle personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles.

5. Shopify
Our store is hosted by Shopify.
Shopify collects and processes personal information when you visit our store or use Shopify consumer services, including Shop and Shop Pay where enabled.

6. Cookies, analytics and advertising

9. Overseas processing and disclosure
Some providers, including Shopify and its service providers, may process or store personal information outside New Zealand.
Where we disclose personal information to an overseas organisation, we will take reasonable steps to ensure the information is protected in a way that provides comparable safeguards to the Privacy Act 2020, as required by Information Privacy Principle 12.
In some cases, an overseas provider may process information on our behalf without using it for its own purposes.
10. How we protect and retain information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we hold. However, no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide our services, and to meet legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention and dispute-resolution requirements.
When information is no longer required, we will securely delete it, anonymise it or otherwise dispose of it where reasonably practicable.

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you may request access to personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct information you believe is inaccurate.
We may need to verify your identity before responding. In limited circumstances permitted by law, we may refuse or restrict a request and will explain the reason where required.
You may also ask us to delete information. Although deletion is not a general right under the Privacy Act 2020, we will consider requests and delete information where reasonably practicable and where the information is not required for a lawful purpose.

12. Children's privacy
Our services are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 16.
